Our Workshop
Where leather
meets legacy.
Step inside the AMX atelier — a space dedicated to the craft of bespoke automotive upholstery.
The Atelier
A decade of hand-stitched excellence.
Founded in 2014, AMX Performance has built its reputation one stitch at a time. Our workshop brings together master upholsterers, precision cutting tables, and an obsessive attention to detail that borders on the surgical.
Every seat that leaves our atelier passes through the same hands-on process — from raw leather selection to final inspection. No shortcuts, no mass production, no compromise.

The Process
From raw hide to finished seat.
01
Pattern & Cut
Each panel is patterned and cut by hand from selected hides, matched for grain and color.
02
Stitch & Shape
Panels are stitched on industrial machines, then shaped over the seat frame by hand.
03
Fit & Finish
The cover is fitted to the shell, hog-ringed, and tensioned for a flawless surface.
04
Inspect & Ship
Every seat is inspected under studio lighting before it leaves the atelier.
The Floor
Unfinished work.

Materials
Only the good stuff.
We source full-grain Nappa leather from certified European tanneries, Alcantara from Italy, and carbon fiber composites from motorsport suppliers. Every material is traceable to its origin.
Our thread is UV-stabilized bonded nylon — the same spec used in factory Recaro and Porsche sport seats. It doesn't fade, doesn't fray, and holds its tension for the life of the seat.
